Quest Wales is an individual, one-day, multi-adventure sport race which involves running, cycling and kayaking across the spectacular mountains, valleys and lakes of the Snowdonia National Park. We provide the kayak, you just need to bring yourself, your bike and some energy for the course!
There’s a route to suit all levels of ability. You can choose from 3 routes, Challenge 25km, Sport 42km or Expert 53km. Each route has varying stages of running and cycling, all have a 1km kayak section. The race gives you the chance to take part in a unique event in some of the most dramatic and breath-taking scenery in the UK.
Ultimately, Quest is for those who like to test themselves in the outdoors, have fun, party, travel and make new friends along the way. Finishers receive Quest-branded gear, an exclusive medal and finish line treats like hot food and the famous Japanese hot tubs for tired limbs!
Quest Wales/Cymru starts and finishes in the idyllic village of Betws-y-Coed in Northern Wales. It is the first UK-based Quest event and takes place on Saturday 12th May 2018. Betws-y-Coed nestled in Snowdonia National Park. It’s the ultimate adventure playground, surrounded by rugged mountains, lakes, woodlands and waterfalls. Betws-y-Coed has lots of great places to stay from camping up to 5 star accommodation and there’s something for everyone; numerous craft and outdoor activity shops, bars and restaurants. The popular Swallow Falls is also nearby amongst an array of outdoor and activity centres. So, after Quest you can certainly stay for the after-party and make a weekend of it!
