Not that you need any more excuses to sign up for Quest Wales but Betws-y-Coed is a wonderful part of the world and there’s so much to do in the ‘adventure playground of the UK’ it’s well worth a long weekend.

  1. Explore Snowdon some more!

Snowdon or Yr Wyddfa as it is known locally is Wales’ highest mountain at 1085m or 3560ft. If you’ve got the energy in your legs it’s an awesome 6-8 hr hike and definitely one to tick off the bucket list. If you decide to do it the day after Quest Wales you always have the option of the Snowdon Mountain Railway to take you to the top, depending on how tired you are after the exertions on the trails the day before.

  1. Surf Snowdonia

This world-first is a must-experience when you’re in this part of the world. This surf lagoon uses technology to create various wave profiles so beginners and advanced surfers can take to the waves together. They offer classes for all ages and abilities with other fun activities on site for all the family. Well worth a visit.

  1. Eat and shop

Betws-y-Coed is home to many interesting and quirky gift shops as well as a plethora of outdoor apparel and equipment shops. A great place to spend a few hours stocking up followed by lunch or dinner in one of the many excellent eateries in the area, some of our favourites include Olif, Hangin’ Pizzeria and Alpine Coffee Shop.

  1. Go underground!

A whole other way to experience Wales, check out Go Below! Choose from one of three underground adventures where you can zip-line through caverns, climb vertical shafts, boat across lakes, traverse an abyss, scale a waterfall or abseil to the deepest point in the UK. No experience required. Adventure awaits below the surface!

  1. Whatever you like!

We could go on and on about things to do in this neck of the woods but half the fun of an adventure is doing it on the fly. Dry slopes, zip wiring, checking out model trains, innumerable walks and hikes as well as water sports, you want it, they got it! Find lots more information here.

Quest Wales takes place on June 20th 2020, you can register for the event here
