Topics to be covered: Mandatory kit, race gear, bike options, race day routes and general advice to help your day.
What to bring: Bike, helmet, trail runners, food snacks and water.
What to expect on the day
09:30 – Meet in the reception area of the Gleneagle Hotel, Killarney
09:30 – 09:45 – Bikes & gear checked and ready to go
09:45 -10:30 – General tips re-kit, nutrition and gear
10:40 – 13:00 – Run and cycle parts of the race day course.
13.00 – 13:30 – Post training debrief and Q&A
Please ensure you have water, snacks, gear on and your bike in “race fit” condition with spares, pump, tubes, etc.
This training is aimed at beginners who are doing their 1st or maybe 2nd adventure race. Those planning to undertake the Expert route may not benefit from this day and is not geared at experienced racers.
Warm clothes and extra layers will be necessary as the pace will be aimed to suit even the slowest participant.
Both groups will be led by an experienced adventure racer who will be on hand to advise throughout the session.
