Quest Lough Derg is the latest addition to the Quest Adventure Series. Race around some of Ireland’s most iconic waterways, kayak on majestic Lough Derg and run along the banks of the mighty Shannon. Cycle through country roads, quaint villages and sprawling forests.

Race pack collection will take place

Expert and sport times:
Friday 13th September, 6pm-9pm at Flanagan’s on the Lake, Ballina/Killaloe, Co. Tipperary, V94 F974.
Saturday 14th September, Expert and Sport routes only:  6.30am-7.30am at Flanagan’s on the Lake, Ballina/Killaloe, Co. Tipperary.

Challenge Times:
Friday 13th September, 6pm-9pm at Flanagan’s on the Lake, Ballina/Killaloe, Co. Tipperary, V94 F974.
Saturday 14th September, Challenge route only 10.30am-11am in the Canal Carpark.

Please note if you are collecting your race pack on Saturday morning you must collect it at least 1 hour before your wave start.

At collection please present the text message containing your race number which you will receive a few days before the race. If you do not receive a text please bring the e-mail confirmation you receive when you register online.

Your race pack includes:
– Timing dibber
– Race map
– Bib number
– Bike sticker

All competitors must register online before the race. There is no registration on the day of the event.

ROUTE CUT OFFS
EXPERT & SPORT CUT OFF: If you don’t get to the end of stage 3 cycle at the pontoon bridge by 11.00am (or before the first people finishing the race) you will have to use the main bridge and follow flow on bridge with the traffic lights.
EXPERT ROUTE CUT OFF: Mid way through the Moylussa run (stage 7) if you don’t get to the Sport & Challenge cut off before 14.00 you can not complete the full Expert run and must complete the Sport run.
CHALLENGE ROUTE CUT OFF If you don’t finish the Kayak before 14.00 you will not be allowed to complete the run section of the route. You will be directed to cycle back to transition 3.
KAYAK CUT OFF: The cut off for the kayak is 14.00, if you have not reached this stage by then, you will not complete the kayak and run stage and will be advised to cycle to T3 and run from there to the finish line.

 

BIKE COLLECTION

Competitors can collect their bikes from the secure bike racking area after 2.30pm on event day. This is to allow for all participants to finish the race safely. Please ensure you have your race bib with you to correspond with your bike sticker when picking up your bike.
